Accessing blocked torrent sites in India will put you in jail now !

Yes if you are going to access torrent sites which are blocked by the government in India you are going to get imprisoned for 3 years and also 300000 rupees fine. Actually Indian government was taking help of internet service providers in order to block these torrent websites but now the scenario has been changed. Consequently government has taken a decision to take help of big companies like Airtel and Tata Communications because they manage many internet gateways in India. Internet service providers were adding DNS server addresses of different websites that are blocked in India so that the DNS server of the respective service provider will block that website which is to be blocked but many people were bypassing this and using different proxy servers and accessing these blocked websites but now after these companies have taken charge to block these websites the conditions have changed rapidly. Now if you try to open any blocked website you can see a warning message shown below

"This URL has been blocked under the instructions of the Competent Government Authority or in compliance with the orders of a Court of competent jurisdiction. Viewing, downloading, exhibiting or duplicating an illicit copy of the contents under this URL is punishable as an offence under the laws of India, including but not limited to under Sections 63, 63-A, 65 and 65-A of the Copyright Act, 1957 which prescribe imprisonment for 3 years and also fine of upto Rs. 3,00,000/-. Any person aggrieved by any such blocking of this URL may contact at urlblock@tatacommunications.com who will, within 48 hours, provide you the details of relevant proceedings under which you can approach the relevant High Court or Authority for redressal of your grievance"

However this is a warning message which is getting displayed on the blocked website but there is no clarity how the government is going to take action on the person who tries to access these websites. So just be careful and stay away from the block websites !

Tips to protect your eyes when you are using laptop or computer

Most of us spend long time in front of computer or laptop screen while using social networks or watching movies etc . Eyes are the most vital and sensitive parts of our body and in order to protect them from eye strain or any other damage there are few tips shown below which are to be followed to avoid damage to your eyes.

1. Keep your computer screen 4 to 5 inches below your eye level which ensures that your eyes are     mositurized and healthy. Keep the screen at an angle of 15 to 20 degrees from your eye sight.

2. Sit atleast an arm's length away from the computer screen.

3. Blink your eyes at regular intervals.Naturally our eyes blink 20 times every minute but if you focus on the screen continuously it may lead to reduction of blinking rate drastically. So,it's better to blink your eyes for every 5 seconds and for every 20 minutes in front of computer screen look away from screen for 20 seconds which help in re-moisturizing your eyes.

4. If you are using any paper or books while you are using computer it will be hard to your eyes to focus on small letters and to avoid this place your material near keyboard or instead use any document holder.

5. Do not sit continuously in front of your computer screen. Take a break for every 2 hours of looking at screen.

6. Use ARC (Anti-Reflective coating ) glasses which protect your eyes from glare and improve your vision and reduce eye strain. Consult your eye doctor to get best ARC glasses that suit you.

7. Clean your computer screen always as dust on screen can reflect light into your eyes.

8. Adjust the brightness of your screen depending on your surrounding lighting conditions to avoid eye strain.

How to improve battery life on your smartphone

Battery is an important constraint to be looked after when you are buying a smartphone. The batteries at present are coming up with different capacities. Most of the smartphones use Lithium-ion or Lithium polymer battery.Important fact to be noticed here that most of the battery drain is caused due to the large Amoled , LCD and other Quad HD displays used in the smartphones now.if you don't take proper care in maintaining health of your battery then life of the battery comes down drastically. In order to help you improve your battery life i am providing few tips below which help a lot to save your precious battery power.

1. Use only original battery provided by your smartphone manufacturer or other reliable third party         battery

2.If you are using Android turn off Google voice because it runs as long as your smartphone is ON and consumes battery power continuously.

3.Turn off Auto update of apps running on your smartphone. If you are using android go to play store settings and disable auto update of apps.Apps can be updated manually when you have ample time to do it.

4.Turn off auto sync on your smartphone as it syncs data every 15 minutes and consumes battery power instead you can sync data manually when you are using that particular app.

5.If you have battery saving mode enable it and it saves your battery life and in some mobiles ultra power saving mode is also provided where it disables all the unnecessary background apps or services along with your WiFi and Bluetooth.

6.Use widgets which are not having internet access because if you enable internet accessible widgets they keep on updating and syncing constantly.

7.The most important tip to save your battery power is " Turn off your WiFi,Bluetooth, mobile data,NFC etc. when you are not using them.

8.Turn off vibration when you don't need it and turn off Haptic feedback and also disable key press sound or vibration on your keyboard.

9.Set up your screen timeout to lower value i.e. 15 seconds as longer screen time out uses more battery power.

10.When you are not using mobile for certain period of time just close the battery consuming apps running in the background by using your app manager on your mobile or else use apps like clean master etc.If you are using Samsung you can use smart manager app to clear RAM and disable apps  which are not required to run in the background.

Spherical solar panel collector for power generation

pic credits : raw lemon

The increased necessity of usage of renewable energy in our day to day life has increased a lot and as a  result there are many advancements happening in the field of renewable energy.Until now in the case of solar energy we were using conventional solar panels like flat or concave solar panels but now its the time to welcome the new type of spherical solar panel for power generation.

This model has been developed by an architect from Germany named "Andre Broessel" and he claims that this proposed model occupies less area and it can receive more energy from the sun when compared to the conventional ones. Its special feature is that it can also harvest energy from moon during night hours. It is equipped with Dual axis tracking system. The movement of the solar panel according to the movement of the sun is called as solar tracking. This model is named as Beta.ray which is created by his company Rawmelon. This model is claimed to generate two times more power than the conventional solar panels and it is also equipped with a hybrid solar collector. The efficiency of this model is estimated to be 57% when it works in hybrid mode.During the night hours the lens in the panel can be transformed into lamp with high power to illuminate the place where it is installed using some LED lights. The structure of this model suits well to provide electricity to houses, electric vehicles etc.

Working of this model :

pic credits : raw lemon

When the sunlight falls on the lens of the panel surface heat from the sun is absorbed in the form

of radiation and radiation is converted to electricity by the photo-voltaic system where the obtained energy is stored by the hybrid collector. The power generated here is DC and is stored in battery connected to it and from the battery this power is fed to houses or electric vehicles etc.But in order

to run AC loads inverter is connected between battery and the AC load respectively.

Creative SBS E2800 review

                                              Video credits : Techmirror 4u

This is my review of Creative SBS E2800 speakers which i am using from past 15 days and the speakers are very good in my opinion like they have great bass and clear crisp sound and the total power output of this 2.1 system is 50 watts and the subwoofer is placed on the bottom with minimal height to give a good bass reproduction and it supports playback on SD cards and other USB devices and it also has a FM receiver and it also has a wireless remote to operate player in an easy way.
The cons i have observed in this product are :
1.Bass and treble control not available
2.Speakers are not mountable
3.Price is a bit more when compared to others
